AHS Tennis Hosts Eagle Invitational

Around 600 kids from approximately 40 schools were in town Friday and Saturday as kids competed throughout Abilene at the Eagle Invitational Tennis Tournament.  Rain cut play a little short on Friday, so play resumed again on Saturday morning.  The Eagles did well at the tournament.  Taking 1st place in the A division in mixed doubles

Eagle Tennis Beats Odessa Permian

The Eagle Tennis Team beat Odessa Permian 13 – 6 in a district match on Saturday, October 10th.  The win brought the Eagles district record to 3 – 1 and 11 – 6 overall.  The Eagles finish district play on Tuesday, October 13th when they travel to play San Angelo Central .

The Abilene High Varsity tennis team beat Abilene Cooper 11 – 8 in a crosstown rivalry match Tuesday evening.  This was Colby Haught day at the Eagle Courts celebrating Colby’s victory over leukemia and hi-lited by Lane Adkins defeating Levi Cook in #1 Boys Singles.  The Team next will travel to Midland on Saturday for

Eagle Tennis Starts Season 3-0

The Abilene High Tennis team is starting the season at 3-0.  They defeated Cedar Hill 14-5 and Midlothian 11-8 on Tuesday.  Out of the three matches, the girls are 25-2.  AHS will be in action again at home on Wednesday when they take on Lubbock High at 8:30.

Abilene High Tennis Does Well at Coppell Tournament

The Abilene High tennis team finished in 5th place out of 16 teams at the Coppell Tournament, narrowly missing 4th place by one point. Eagle Tennis End of Season and All-District Awards

The Eagle tennis team finished runner-up in District 6-3A. They were Area finalists and advanced to the Regional Tournament where they were quarter-finalists.
